Looking back, Looking forward

I’m writing as LeeFogel.com and my new business name are just weeks old, and I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, and excited!
I began calling my practice The Visioning Body in 2012, a couple years after graduating from the MA in Dance and Somatic Wellbeing: Connections to the Living Body (what a great, rolling name:)) through UCLAN, and becoming a Registered Somatic Movement Educator.
The idea of a body that visions - that moves with what is true in the present, and with what we need in ourselves and the world - reminded me of the way I want to live and lead.
Since then, my practice has taken me through many forms of supporting clients to be and become who they are in a way that engenders wellbeing.
Over the years I've worked in five different studios in Philadelphia, offered workshops and programs in many more, visited community centers and organizations, and connected virtually with clients across the US.
I have been called many names by my clients: coach, therapist, guide, somatic practitioner, teacher… and enjoyed inviting my practice to develop and be informed by what each client has highlighted.
I've gotten to see empathic leaders, creatives, practitioners and teams learn to access healing, well-being, and groundedness in themselves and in their work.
After 13 years under this name, my practice is calling for something new. While The Visioning Body will always be a poetic concept I hold dear, and one that will no doubt emerge in new forms, it has become clear to me that my practice needs a more open, and also descriptive, title.

ps. I was recently interviewed by an online magazine, and they captured a lot about my story and ethos quite nicely. Check it out here!
