Find your Ground in Fall (or season)

Late summer/early fall weather where I live in Philadelphia always feels like such a balm to me. The sun is warm but easy. There's a breeze sometimes, but it's usually not too wild or disorienting.

I want to harvest this soothing feeling and land it in my bones — Will you practice with me?

Think of Fall - the soon approaching season, the word itself, the rolling event of leaves falling. If you close your eyes and imagine leaves falling inside your body down to your feet and the Earth, what happens?

I feel joints and muscles softening, belly dropping into my pelvis, breath blooming outward like a beautiful flower. If I continue to sense the falling of leaves within me, I can actually feel my brain softening. What a relief!

Over the next couple of weeks until the Equinox, I am planning to record some practices for connecting with gravity and the season of Fall to create grounding, relief and reverence in our everyday.

If you'd like to receive the whole series directly, click here! It is my gift to you!

I'll leave you with this Fall photo of me and a friend a few years back ;)

To our joy and groundedness!
